Surprised my boyfriend with a weekend trip to SF and decided to go biking while we were staying in Sausalito. While looking for bike rentals we found this place. Mark was amazing, super friendly, and very accommodating. He made sure we had everything we needed and made recommendations for places to visit. We had an amazing time biking to Old Mill Park, Mill Valley, and over the Golden Gate Bridge. Thanks Mark!

Brought my team from SF on the ferry and rented e-bikes here. We had an amazing day and Mark took great care of us! Met us at the ferry building with the bikes and gave us lots of great suggestions for rides. Would definitely recommend!!

Excellent bike rental service in a very convenient location.
I rented an electric bike and took a 27 mile ride around the Tiburon Peninsula. Bike pickup was fast and easy. Nice bike, and super easy to operate. The owner was ultra-friendly and helpful. I called ahead and he had a bike waiting for me when I got there.
Don't be confused. This is the same Sausalito bike rental that is near the Sausalito ferry terminal. But right now the business is operating in this location. And this location is more convenient to the San Francisco Bay trail.

This bike rental shop is a hidden gem. The owner is very kind and genuinely wants his customers to have a great time. I liked the e-bikes, which are high quality and fast. We road to Tiburon and enjoyed every minute of it. Will definitely return to this shop for all my future bike rental needs.

Mark is great! Rent your bike from him! I wanted to rent an ebike to try out before purchasing one, and Mark had several to choose from. I took it to Angel Island, and he helped me attach the bike to my bike rack. He was super responsive on the phone about planning the bike pick up and drop off from the storage location. I highly recommend this place, and I'll definitely be renting from them again!

Mark was terrific. Set my friend and i up with 2 hybrids relatively last minute for an afternoon ride to Tiburon and back. He was great with communications, very caring and checked in with us late in the day to see that we weren't out stranded, and provided us helmets, a lock, and directions/recommendations. Renting bikes from Mark at Sausalito Bike Rentals was an amazing experience!
My wife and I rented the hybrid bikes (which were a great deal!) which were super comfortable and rode super smoothly for us on our Valentines Day adventure to Mill Valley, then Tiburon for lunch and back (highly recommend this route ~ 25 miles total).
Mark (the owner) has to be one of the nicest humans I have ever encountered as well. We were about to pay $35 for all-day parking in a lot nearby but he offered to come out to our car every 3-hours to refill our meter while we were out biking and saved us a good chunk of change!
Thanks for such a great experience Mark - we will definitely be back and I will recommend this place to anyone who will listen!

Open on Thanksgiving and very friendly and accommodating. Even offered to feed the meter for us if we ended out too long (and we were)!
Bike Selection that worked for us
We wanted to do a bike tour around Sausalito and across the bridge, but while our kids (4 & 6) can ride their own bike, we knew they wouldn't be able to climb the hills. We struggled to find an alternative that would work (tandem, tag along, etc). Other rental shops in the SF side did not have an option for us, but Sausalito Bike Rental had this great electric bike that could hold two kids in the back (see picture - not the best picture to show off bike, but we weren't really planning it to post). Bike had no problems climbing the hills.

The bikes we got were easy to ride. The seats were in good condition too, not dirty and worn out.
It was easy to return the bikes and the owner was flexible and able to handle some issues we caused with one of the bikes

We rented the electric tandem. It really flew! Biked around 45 miles to Tiburon. The first bike we rented did not work at all (definitely test before you ride off like we did) but Mark the owner handled it gracefully and professionally and gave us a replacement at a discount.
They have helmets, locks and a ton of options. And the electric bikes are so worth the extra cost...
